1. Who we are and what this policy covers
FinDestination Fintech Private Limited ("FinDestination", "we", "us" or "our") is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. It covers visitors to our website, people who contact us and business representatives who request a consultation. Personal information means information that identifies an individual or can be linked to them, including business contact details.
This policy explains our handling of digital personal data with reference to India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, as applicable and brought into force. Where we determine the purpose and means of processing, we act as the Data Fiduciary. A separate engagement or collection notice may provide additional details for a particular service.
2. Information we collect
Contact and business details. Our consultation form asks for your name, phone number, email address, business name, city and annual turnover band. You may also provide a business website and a message.
Your consultation objective. Depending on the service you select, we ask about the funding amount or capital sought, purpose or use of funds, profitability, revenue band, preferred timeline, finance team, intended start date, finance challenges or another business need. We use these details to understand the enquiry; submitting them is not a credit application or an investment instruction.
Correspondence and enquiry records. If you contact us by email, telephone or a messaging service, we receive the information you share and may keep relevant correspondence and follow-up notes. The website also uses submission identifiers and timing information to prevent duplicate requests and automated misuse.
Technical and usage information. Website delivery and security systems may process your IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, access times and error information. If you accept optional measurement technologies, additional information may include pages viewed, interactions, referral sources, campaign information and browser or device identifiers. We also store your cookie preference in your browser.
The consultation form does not accept document uploads. Please do not enter passwords, payment credentials, identity document numbers, bank account details, health information or confidential records in the message field. If an engagement requires documents, we will explain what is needed and how to provide it separately. Share another person’s details only where you are authorised to do so and have provided them with the relevant privacy notice.
3. Why we use your information
We use contact details, business context and correspondence to assess your enquiry, assign it to the appropriate team member, respond, arrange a consultation and discuss next steps. Required form fields support this process; without them we may be unable to assess or respond to your request. Optional fields can be left blank.
We use technical and submission information to deliver the website, identify failures, prevent spam and duplicate enquiries, and protect our systems. With your optional consent, we use measurement information to understand website use and the effectiveness of our communications and advertising. Personal form fields and free-text messages are not sent to these measurement tools by our website integration.
We may also process necessary information to meet applicable legal obligations, respond to lawful requests and establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not use an enquiry to make an automated decision about your eligibility for funding.
4. Consent and your choices
The consultation form asks for your affirmative agreement to use your details to respond to the enquiry. This is separate from optional website measurement and does not sign you up for unrelated promotional communications. Where consent is required for a new purpose, we will explain that purpose and ask for consent before using your information for it. Where the law permits or requires processing without consent, we rely only on an applicable legal provision.
You can withdraw consent for enquiry follow-up at any time by emailing info@findestination.com with “Withdraw consent” and the contact details used for your enquiry. You do not need to give a reason. We will stop the relevant processing and instruct providers acting on our behalf to do so within a reasonable time, except where continued processing is required or authorised by law. This may mean we cannot continue the consultation. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before it was received.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential browser storage remembers your privacy choice. Optional analytics and advertising technologies, where configured, load only after you accept them. They may use cookies, tags or similar identifiers to measure visits and campaign responses. You can reject them and still browse the site or request a consultation.
Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice. After changing an accepted choice to rejection, reload the page so previously loaded optional tools are no longer loaded on that page. Browser controls can remove existing cookies and site storage; clearing your saved preference will cause the website to ask again. Changing a preference does not itself erase information already collected; contact us to request erasure.
6. When we share information
Authorised team members access information where needed for their work. We use service providers for website hosting, security, enquiry management, communications, storage and, with the relevant consent, measurement. Providers processing information on our behalf must act on our instructions under appropriate contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations. Providers and tools may change, but a change does not authorise a new, unrelated use of your information.
A website enquiry is not automatically sent to lenders or investors. Before sharing a proposal or personal information with a prospective funding counterparty or external adviser, we will explain the intended sharing and obtain the authorisation or consent required for it. Such recipients may process information independently under their own notices and legal duties.
We may disclose necessary information to professional advisers, courts, regulators or public authorities where legally required or permitted, for example to respond to a lawful order or protect legal rights. Any transfer connected with a lawful business restructuring will remain subject to applicable data protection requirements. We do not sell personal information.
7. Where information is processed
Our operations are based in India. Depending on the services used, information may be stored or accessed in India or other countries. Any overseas processing must comply with applicable Indian transfer restrictions and any stricter sector-specific requirements. We require appropriate safeguards from providers acting on our behalf. Contact us for information about the recipients and processing relevant to your enquiry.
8. Retention and deletion
We keep identifiable enquiry information for as long as needed to respond, complete the relevant follow-up or manage an engagement. Retention depends on whether the enquiry is active, the services agreed and applicable recordkeeping or legal requirements. We review records for deletion when their purpose ends or consent is withdrawn, unless retention is required or otherwise authorised by law. We do not keep enquiries indefinitely merely because they might be useful in future.
Records needed for legal obligations or disputes are restricted to those purposes. Deletion also needs to be carried through to providers acting on our behalf; residual backup copies are protected until removed through the applicable backup cycle. You may ask what retention applies to your records.
9. Security and personal data breaches
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information and risks, including access restrictions, protected transmission and controls over service-provider access. No website or communication system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will take steps to contain it and notify affected individuals and the relevant authority as required by applicable law, including information about protective steps they can take.
10. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request a summary of your personal data and its processing, information about recipients, correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data, and erasure. You may withdraw consent, raise a grievance and nominate an individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity. Statutory DPDP rights apply as the relevant provisions come into force; you can contact us about these requests in the meantime.
Send requests to info@findestination.com using “Privacy request” in the subject. Include the email address or phone number used for your enquiry and describe the request. We may ask for limited information to verify your identity or a representative’s authority before disclosing or changing records. Do not send identity documents unless we request them through an appropriate channel. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain the reason and any available next steps.
11. Privacy contact and complaints
Address privacy questions and grievances to FinDestination Fintech Private Limited at info@findestination.com, with “Privacy grievance” in the subject for a complaint. Describe what happened, the enquiry concerned and how we can contact you. Our proposed response period for grievances is within 30 days of receipt, or sooner where law requires.
Designated privacy / grievance contact:info@findestination.com
Registered office:503, Gagan UNO, Opposite Vohuman Café, Near Ruby Hall Clinic, Dhole Patil Road, Pune, Maharashtra- 411001.
If your grievance remains unresolved after using our grievance process, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India through its prescribed complaint mechanism when the relevant provisions and mechanism are in force. This does not limit other remedies available under applicable law.
12. Children and external services
Our website and consultations are intended for adults acting in a business capacity, not for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly seek children’s personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.
Links to external websites, video platforms, social networks and messaging services lead to services operated independently of FinDestination. Their privacy notices govern information you provide to them. Review those notices before using the services or sharing information.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, practices or legal requirements change. The revised version will show its update date, and we will provide additional notice of material changes where required. An update does not retrospectively expand your consent. Please also read our Terms of use for the conditions of using this website.
